ACADEMIC CONFERENCE

The answer to the question posed in the Referendum of June 23rd has raised a myriad of further questions over how to proceed, the answers to which will affect everybody. In trying to make some sense out of this, we intend to hold an academic discussion on the projected impact of Brexit on a variety of local
communities, to be chaired by Dr Julie Smith, Director of the European Centre @ POLIS, University of Cambridge.

Topics might include but are not limited to:
• The local aspect of the EU Referendum result
• The impact of Brexit on local communities
• The opportunities of Brexit for local communities
• The role of local communities in the Brexit negotiations
• How the diversity of British local communities will shape and/or be shaped
by Brexit
